Candidates interested in pursuing a career in Information Technology have two options after class 12th, undergraduate programme of four years’ duration (BE/B.Tech) and dual degree programme of five years’ duration.


To become eligible for admission to B.Tech/BE in IT Engineering courses in IITs, NITs and IIITs, candidates should have passed Higher Secondary Board Exam from a recognized board in India with aggregate 50 per cent marks in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry. Thereafter, the eligible candidates need to qualify JEE (Main) and subsequently JEE Advanced, for admissions to IITs. Regional institutes have their respective State-level examinations for admitting students to B.Tech/BE courses in Information Technology.
