Bachelor of Science in Economics or B.Sc Economics is an undergraduate program of 3 years which can
be pursued after completion of 10+2 or equivalent examination. The average annual fees for B.Sc
Economics ranges between INR 50,000 to1 lakh depending on the college.
The program is spread over 6 semesters at an interval of every six months. B.Sc Economics Syllabus
imparts candidates relevant knowledge about economic analysis, economics fundamentals and
principles. After completion of the course, candidates are equipped with the knowledge of how economic
principles are applied in society, family, government and private sector, business and science.

B.Sc Economics: What is it about?
While pursuing the Economics degree, candidates learn how economic development is important for us
and the ways it should be practiced in different sectors such as optimal use of natural resources,
consumption of goods and services in their best way, equilibrium of demand and supply in the market etc
This course provides the knowledge exposure about micro and macro economics which include
economics at individual level for example determinants of demand and supply of consumers and
economics at national level for example Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of the country.
Eligibility Of the Bachelor of Science [B.Sc] (Economics):-
In order to get admission, candidates need to fulfill the following eligibility conditions:
->10+2 or equivalent examination in science stream with at least 50% marks in aggregate from a
recognized university or board.
->In some colleges or institutes candidates will be preferred who have opted mathematics at 10+2 level
Selection will be done on the basis of cut off merit list prepared by the colleges but in some colleges
there can be entrance examination also depending upon the policies of the institution or college.
